Our highly experienced instructor team has an infectious enthusiasm for flying and teaching. Between them they have amassed a remarkable level of instructing expertise and have become experts in everything from basic flight instruction to aerobatics.
Chief Flying Instructor 4000hrs
Matt has been flying for over 20 years and holds an airline licence. After a few years working in corporate aviation he decided his heart was actually with Cornwall Flying Club and become an instructor in 2010.
Flying instructor & Commercial Pilot 800 hrs
Ben has been flying for 10 years, splitting his flight training between the USA and the UK and currently holds a frozen ATPL. Ben is our newest Flying Instructor and has been teaching students for the past 6 months.
Flying Instructor 24000hrs
Kevin started flying at Biggin Hill in 1967 and soon after went to Africa to work with a flying doctor service. After a spell in Malaysia he returned to the UK and joined the airlines. Kevin joined the instructor team at CFC in 2013.
Flying instructor( microlights) & Ground exams 2000 hrs
Charlie has been flying for 15 years and teaching students for the past 10 years. He holds a PPL (M), NPPL (SSEA) and LAPL. Charlie is a Flying Instructor and ground examiner and available for Microlight training and conducting Flight Reviews/Critiquing PPL (A) Students. Charlie is also available for microlight annual permits.
Introductory Flight Pilot 100hrs
Jacob started Gliding at 14 before moving onto Powered flight at 17. After gaining his Private pilot licence he has under gone competency training to allow him to provide introductory flights and will be shortly starting his instructors course.
Michelle has been with Bodmin Airfield since 1999 and took over as Flying Club Manager in 2012. Michelle has an extensive knowledge in all departments and goes above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction.
Jay has been involved in Aerodrome Operations and safety management for over 25 years including management roles with the Manchester Airports Group, Airports Company South Africa and Regional and City Airports Group. Jay also has experience as an Aerodrome Operations Trainer and Auditor with Airports Council International.

Carol and her husband have a long background in running small catering businesses, and Carol has taken over the franchise at the ‘Diner 31’.
